Dear Sensei’s, Shotokan Karate invites you to take part in the following training sessions with Sensei Jamsheed. Join us and experience the exceptional training of Sensei Jamsheed from Iran.

Sensei Jamsheed

Sensei Jamsheed was born in Nishabour (The city of Omar Khayyam) in the province of Khorasan, Iran. Whilst studying in the United States he joined the All American Amateur Karate Federation under the instruction of Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama. He trained regularly and was one of his most senior students until Nishiyama passed away in 2008.

Sensei Jamsheed received his First Degree Black belt (Sho Dan) in 1974. In 2006 he was awarded his Seven Degree Black belt or Shichi Dan, and was the second person to receive this rank from Sensei Nishiyama.  He returned to Iran in 1976 and established the Iran Karate Association (JKA Iran) under the HQ of Japan Karate Association in Tokyo.

Sensei Jamsheed is the most successful Kata coach in Iran with numerous medals in both WKF and JKA tournaments dating back to 1976. Further to this he is also an accomplished author – ‘Shotokan Karate Do’ is written in Farsi and was published in 2005, in his homeland of Iran.
