Sensei Dieter Steinegg passed on Friday 17th March, 2023. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends and the Tobukai Karate family in Christchurch. Many will remember Dieter as an outstanding athlete, fighter and coach. He has many, many accolades for his Karate.This came from one of his students post and I cannot think of better words to describe him - “I will remember him as a man whose power was matched by his gentleness. If a man's strength should be measured, let it be by his capacity for kindness; nothing else much matters. To me this is the essence of a true martial artist.”
